I’ve tried to jump on the Google Analytics bandwagon, but without much success. Signing up was easy, but it seems impossible to get Analytics to recognize its tags on my site. It seems that the service is completely ovewhelmed by the onslought of new signups. Frankly, I find that kind of weird, coming from Google with its scalability exprience. I also find it ironic that the first non-beta service of theirs that I try to use is the one not working…

But, looking around about traffic analysis software, I came across Mint. Now that’s a slick little piece of software that does some good traffic reporting. Sure, it’s not nearly as deep as Analytics and it seems a little enamored about its DHTML snazzyness (which is admitedly pretty cool) and it costs money (albeit not much). The cool thing is that it actually works in realtime and the data lives on your site. So I plunked down my $30 and installed it on this domain.

I’m confident that Google will iron out the wrinkles on their product, but I’m curious which of these two will end up being of more interest to me.
